Each and every bride is different which is why there is no definite answer to this question. We would however recommend at least 12-18 months in advance of your wedding. This will allow for a smooth journey from purchase to alterations with no pressure.
This time frame does not mean we cannot cater for shorter time frames. We are lucky enough to stock some of the world leading names in bridal who, if necessary, can turn a dress around in a much shorter amount of time.
We also have some gowns which are ‘Off the peg’ which are available to take away on the day of purchase.
Our sample gowns range from a size 8-16. It is important to remember that bridal sizes are very different to that of high street gowns. Remember style, not size!
Yes. We have recently introduced a new, easy to use booking system which will allow you to book an appointment of your choice. Working on an appointment only basis allows us to focus our expertise on one appointment entirely.
We are currently allowing our brides to bring 3 guests with them in total. This is reviewed on a weekly basis due to the ongoing pandemic.

£800-£3000. Each designer has their own price point. The average priced wedding dress sold in 2021 was £1500.
We always advise wearing a good pair of no VPL (visible panty line) knickers to your appointment. Badly chosen underwear can change the whole appearance of a gown, so we try to eliminate this prior to your appointment.
Most wedding dresses do not require a bra, however If you do not feel comfortable not wearing a bra a nude strapless bra or ‘nipple petals’ will do!
When you find your perfect dress at Elizabeth Louise Bridal, we require a 50% deposit to place the order and the remaining balance within 6-8 weeks of your dress arriving in the boutique.
In recent months, due to Brexit, one of our designers requires a pre-payment prior to shipping meaning your remaining balance will be due slightly earlier. You will be made aware of this upon purchasing your gown.
Sale gowns must be paid in full on the day of purchase.
If you would like to wear makeup to your appointment, please make sure it is a light.
Fake tan is not permitted as it comes off on our samples and is an utter nightmare to remove.
Yes! Have a look through our website and some of the dresses we stock. Make sure we stock designers and gowns you feel drawn too. We encourage you to follow us on social media to get a feel of the boutique and also who you will be greeting you on the day. Its not just about finding the perfect gown, its also about finding the right boutique for you!
